Born and raised in West Central Ohio, Dr. Laura grew up caring for many animals, including dogs, cats, and horses. Her childhood experiences undoubtedly fueled her desire to pursue veterinary medicine as a profession, and she began her official journey earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Saint Mary's College, where she also minored in Dance, rode on the Equestrian Team, and held many leadership roles. She then worked with laboratory animals at The University of Notre Dame, prior to following her dreams all the way to the Caribbean for veterinary school. Dr. Laura attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, located on the beautiful island of St. Kitts for her didactic veterinary training. Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Laura thought that she wanted to be a mixed animal practitioner, but during her clinical year at Oklahoma State University, she was thriving in her small animal rotations, and that is where she felt called to continue. Dr. Laura then moved back to Ohio to practice as a small animal veterinarian.

Dr. Laura has 8 years of experience in small animal general practice, and 3 years of experience in small animal emergency relief. She is known for her positivity, empathy, and attention to detail. Certified Veterinary Medical Manipulation Practitioner (Equine)
USDA Accredited Veterinarian

Dr. Anthony Fernandez was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, where he acquired his first horse and learned the importance of the human-animal bond. After high school, Dr. Anthony moved to Laurinburg, North Carolina to attend Saint Andrew’s University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and was heavily involved in their nationally-ranked hunter/jumper and western teams. After college, he worked on a dude ranch in Colorado for two years as a ranch hand and wrangler. He then attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts. Dr. Anthony initially wanted to specialize in equine podiatry, but during his clinical year at Oklahoma State University, he developed a passion for treating all species. Upon obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, he moved to Ohio to practice mixed animal medicine. As a veterinarian, Dr. Anthony pursued additional training at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida to become a Certified Veterinary Medical Manipulation Practitioner.

Since receiving his CVMMP certification, Dr. Anthony has enjoyed integrating his training into his practice, as it allows for a multi-modal approach to treat the whole horse. While he is currently only certified to perform chiropractic adjustments on equine species, he plans to obtain this certification for other species in the future. In addition to medical manipulation and orthopedics, Dr. Anthony also has a strong interest in small animal surgery. Dr. Anthony has been a true mixed animal veterinarian since 2017, treating canine, feline, equine, bovine, caprine, and even some exotic species. He has also been doing small animal emergency relief work since 2022. Dr. Anthony is appreciated by clients for his straight-forward personality and practical approach to veterinary medicine. He is well-liked by his veterinary assistants and technicians for his patience and ability to teach while working.
